Houseboats takes place at Shasta Lake, one of the most stunning locations in Northern California. With endless open water, towering cliffs, peaceful coves, and unreal sunsets, Shasta Lake feels completely set apart from everyday life. We’ll launch from Jones Valley Marina, about nine hours from Crosspointe Church Anaheim, stepping into a week surrounded by natural beauty that makes space to slow down, disconnect, and encounter God.

This trip is open to all incoming 7th graders through graduated 12th graders. You don’t have to attend Crosspointe Youth to be part of Houseboats. Students come from all over, even flying in from across the country, to experience this week together.

From dinner on Sunday through breakfast on Saturday, all meals are covered for the week. We’ll provide three meals a day plus snacks throughout the week. Students should bring money for lunch on the drive to and from Shasta Lake. If your student has any food allergies or dietary needs, please note them during registration so we can make sure they’re taken care of.

Your student will travel to and from Shasta Lake on charter buses with Gold Coast Tours, a top-tier transportation company known for comfort, safety, and professionalism. They’re trusted for major events, including transporting guests for the Super Bowl, and they bring that same level of excellence to every trip. Buses will depart from and return to Crosspointe Church Anaheim, giving parents peace of mind and students a smooth, comfortable ride to an unforgettable week.

No. Cell phones are not allowed at Houseboats, with no exceptions. This is an intentional, distraction-free week so students can fully engage with community, the experience, and their relationship with God.

For peace of mind, emergency contact information will be provided to parents before the trip, and our leadership team will be fully reachable at all times if an emergency arises.

The $100 deposit is non-refundable. If your student is unable to attend after registering, refunds beyond the deposit are not guaranteed and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

After registering, you’ll receive a detailed packing list in your confirmation email with everything your student will need for the week.
