Lake Mead, Nevada
HOUSEBOATS is going to be the best week of the summer and it’s for your teenager. We are inviting all incoming 7th-12th graders and graduating seniors to join us for this life-changing summer camp on the water. We are heading to Lake Mead for five days on the lake.
During this trip, students will have the opportunity to do so many unique activities including living on a boat for a week, wakeboarding, tubing, swimming, floating, sleeping under the stars, and much more.
We have a guest speaker who will be teaching at our sessions all week. We will have relevant teaching and worship right there on the lake. We have some amazing families from our church who are bringing their boats to take students wakeboarding and tubing. Every student who attends will be invited to team up with friends to compete in a week-long competition. It’s going to be a BLAST.
The student drop-off and pick-up for this event will be at Crosspointe Church Anaheim. This trip is a cell phone blackout event. We are very serious about students disconnecting from their phones and being present at the camp. We will give you contact information if you need to reach us during the week.
COST FOR THE WEEK: $550
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your student’s spot. The final payment is due July 15th. Spots are extremely limited.
Scholarships are available for this event. Click the scholarship form below. A $100 non-refundable deposit is still required to secure your spot. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Pastor Cobie at email@example.com.
Safety is our number one concern. We have an extremely experienced adult team who is working together to make this trip both fun and safe.
Pastor Cobie grew up on the water as a tournament waterskier and has over 20+ years of experience on the water with ski boats, houseboating, teaching youth how to wakeboard, and planning offsite events and camps. Jeremy Michalski is a houseboat event coordinator and food catering expert who has run youth houseboat camps with over 300+ students. Scott Rizutl is a houseboat driver with years of experience. John Breedon is a long-time Crosspointer with years of ski boat experience and houseboat experience as a former houseboat owner. Rick Walton is a ski boat driver and Crosspointer. Along with this experienced crew, we are also taking several of our very own CY Leaders on the trip.
WHAT IS CAMP?
HOUSEBOATS is a five-day summer camp jam-packed with next-level activities, opportunities to build lasting friendships, and a lot of powerful moments in God’s presence. Our mornings and evenings will have life-changing encounters with Jesus through worship, messages, and group time. And our days will be packed with time on the water including wakeboarding, tubing, floating, swimming, and more. HOUSEBOATS is a great way for students to get connected with our ministry.
WHERE IS CAMP?
Our camp will be hosted at Lake Mead in Nevada. Lake Mead is a beautiful location on the Colorado River. We will launch our boats out of Callville Bay Marina, which is about 4 hours and 30 minutes away from Crosspointe Church Anaheim.
WHAT ABOUT MEALS AND SNACKS?
From dinner on Monday to breakfast on Friday, each meal will be covered for the week! We will ask that your student brings money for lunch on Monday and Friday during the drive to and from Lake Mead. We will offer three meals per day and snacks throughout the day. If your student has any allergies, please let us know on the Parent Consent Form when registering them so we can be sure to accommodate.
WHO DO I TELL IF MY STUDENT HAS ALLERGIES OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS?
There is a field in the Parent Consent form to note any allergies or medical conditions. You can also communicate this with our staff by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW WILL MY TEENAGER GET TO LAKE MEAD?
